Match the Hatch

Every card is either a natural insect or the artificial fly tied to imitate it. Turn two at a time and find the pairs. It is free, it keeps no score but your own, and you may learn why an Adams looks the way it does.

№ 01

How to play

Mouse, finger or keyboard.

  1. Turn two cards. Click or tap a card, or move to it with Tab or the arrow keys and press Enter or Space.
  2. Look for a natural and its imitation. Cards marked with a green corner are insects; cards marked in terracotta are flies. A pair is always one of each.
  3. Remember what you saw. Cards that do not match turn back over. Fewer moves earn more stars; the clock is only for your own curiosity and does not start until you turn the first card.
  4. Read the recap. When the last pair is found, the game explains why each fly resembles its insect.
